The right to political asylum

Abstract

  The study aimed to clarify the foundation of political asylum grant request law and the procedures related to it. The study also projects the impacts and principles related to the right to political asylum. The findings of this study showed all the drives to request the right to political asylum such as political suppression, political crimes, and political opposition. The constitutions all over the countries have stated the right to political asylum and the prohibition of extradition however the legislation shortcoming within the international conventions is obvious and therefore we recommend the international community to write conventions that defines and differentiates the political asylum seeker in addition to the motives and reasons leading to political asylum request.
